College of the Ozarks Camp Lookout returned for its 30th year, offering free summer camp to children in surrounding counties. This summer’s theme, “Run Free,” was designed to remind the campers that we are able to “Run Free” only because of what Jesus has done for us.
Through October and November, College of the Ozarks will present its annual, free patriotic play.
Ben Alleger, College of the Ozarks senior, spent six weeks this summer interning with the Coastal Marine Education and Research Academy (C.M.E.R.A.) in Clearwater, Florida.
On Saturday, June 29, College of the Ozarks hosted the 35th annual Honor America Celebration on campus.

College of the Ozarks Williams Memorial Chapel is hosting evening Sunday chapel services, every other week, throughout the summer. The services are June 23, July 7, July 21, and Aug. 4, 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Last spring, six College of the Ozarks hospitality seniors moderated panel discussions with local businesses including Big Cedar and Silver Dollar City where they explored topics such as managing employees and interviewing for jobs.

College of the Ozarks Ralph Foster Museum will host “Coffee with a Curator,” on Tuesday, June 25 at 9:30 – 11 a.m. The event will be led by Tom Debo, Ralph Foster Museum curator and registrar. The event is free and open to the public.
The graduating class of 2024 marks a milestone with the largest group of students entering graduate programs. Of the 11 students accepted, all will attend Missouri State University in their respective fields. During spring break 10 seniors from the hospitality management and culinary department went to Austin, Texas for a glimpse into what their career field could look like. Dr. Lamae Koogler, professor of hospitality management, and Executive Chef Robert Stricklin traveled with the students.

The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks receives ConventionSouth’s Annual Readers’ Choice Award 2022
During the summer and fall fair season, College of the Ozarks dairy students show cows in various classes at the Missouri State Fair and the Ozark Empire Fair, coming away with nearly 40 awards, including Premier Breeder at the Missouri State Fair. Madison Calton is a senior agricultural business major with a minor in accounting from Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She has worked in the dairy for three years, with no experience in dairy farming growing up.
A team of students at The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks create a gingerbread house modeled after Williams Memorial Chapel, an iconic campus landmark. The Keeter Center will display the model during the Christmas season.
