The Armstrong McDonald School of Nursing (AMSON) at College of the Ozarks recently received the highest pass rate for The National Council Licenses Examination (NCLEX-RN) in Missouri for 2024, with a score of 98.85 out of 100, by BeckersHospitalReview.com.

All registered nursing programs were ranked state-by-state based upon their NCLEX-RN pass exam rate. The NCLEX-RN is a post-graduation exam that tests a graduate’s competency and ensures that the graduate knows how to practice safe nursing care. The nursing news publication analyzed the last five years of data from the NCLEX-RN and averaged them to determine the pass rate for each program. All programs were graded on a 100-point scale.

“We are humbled by God’s favor and so pleased with AMSON graduates’ diligent efforts,” said Program Director Janice Williams. “They worked hard during the program and prepared well for NCLEX success. I am very grateful for a faculty team who consistently coach students to remediate their gaps and ensure they know the ‘why’ behind their nursing actions.”

The program has achieved outstanding results since its inception — earning consistently high scores on the NCLEX-RN exam, achieving a 100 percent satisfaction rate among employers, and 100 percent job placement for graduates, often prior to graduation.

More about The Armstrong McDonald School of Nursing

Founded in 2006, The Armstrong McDonald School of Nursing seeks to provide students with effective training while pursuing their mission statement: “To present a Christ-centered, biblically-based, character-driven nursing education program, while preparing qualified individuals for a spiritual role as a professional nurse, providing service to Christ and humankind.”

Alumni consistently rate the nursing faculty as the top reason for their success. The faculty supervise students in a one-on-one preceptorship to familiarize them with a typical patient caseload, help them study for the NCLEX-RN exam, and prepare them for post-graduation responsibilities.
