POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — College of the Ozarks was recently ranked by Intelligent, a free, privately supported online magazine that’s editorially independent to provide unbiased and accurate information. College of the Ozarks was ranked in the top 50 colleges for the Small Business Management Degree Program and recognized as the Best for General Business. Intelligent compared a sampling of 210 universities and colleges.

According to Intelligent, the list primarily includes Bachelor of Science degrees offered through undergraduate universities, but also covers some associate degrees and certificates available through community colleges.

Intelligent released this ranking online on March 12, 2021.

In order to rank colleges, the staff at Intelligent begins by looking for three initial criteria to narrow down the list of potential programs: nonprofit, accredited, flexibility. Then they evaluate each program based on five factors: program strength, student readiness, return on investment, cost, and student engagement. They use previous rankings in credible sources such as U.S. News and World Report, educational resources and other available information about the institution to calculate the Intelligent Score on a scale of 0-100.
