Job Description:
The Dean of Work Education office is open from 8 am until 5 pm, Monday through Friday. There is very little opportunity to work additional hours in the evening or weekends.
The Dean of Work Education office works closely with work supervisors and students to coordinate job assignments and to ensure students complete their required work obligations for the College. The Dean of Work Education office is dedicated to developing students through the work program.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times,
Maintain computer records with accuracy,
Excellent telephone skills/accurate message taking,
File and maintain records, forms, and requests,
Effective communication with students, faculty and staff
Ability to develop newsletters and conduct student and supervisor interviews for those newsletters,
Willingness to work at other work stations on campus, as part of the labor pool, when requested.
Secondary duties and responsibilities:
Office cleaning such as vacuuming, dusting, watering plants, etc.,
Assist with special projects.
Basic Qualifications:
Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge a must, Microsoft Publisher knowledge a plus),
Basic understanding of the work program,
Effective communication skills,
Detail-oriented and enjoy office routine and paperwork,
Respectful and dependable,
Reliable, punctual, and well-groomed appearance.

Good typing skills/telephone etiquette,

Work well with others.
Learning Objectives:
The student will:
Learn the Work Education Program's rules and regulations,
Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Jenzabar and other Work Education programs,
Learn the Image Now program and develop the attention to detail it requires,
Learn professional telephone and office etiquette,
Develop customer service attitude...go above and beyond to help the customer,
Develop good interpersonal skills,
Create and maintain monthly newsletters and bulletin boards,
Work at various work stations across campus, as part of the labor pool,
Develop a superb work ethic, willing to work anywhere, doing anything with a Christ-like attitude,
Ability to keep appropriate matters confidential.
