The College of the Ozarks Armstrong McDonald School of Nursing program has held national accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) since April, 2010. The most current re-accreditation visit was March 2, 2015 that affirmed accreditation for a term of 10 years, until 2025. After a comprehensive survey report and on-site evaluation in March, the CCNE team reported that the program met all accreditation standards and presented no compliance concerns.

The program holds full approval status from the Missouri State Board of Nursing, based on a comprehensive survey report and on-site evaluation in March, 2020. The program met all minimum standards for professional nursing and presented no compliance concerns. The approval extends until 2025.
