- Brigadier General James Schreffler received his commission through ROTC in 1991 upon graduating from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS. Initially branched into the Army Chemical Corps, he received a branch transfer to Aviation after completing flight training at Ft. Rucker, AL in 1995. Throughout his career, BG Schreffler has held numerous positions at the company, battalion and brigade level.
BG Schreffler’s deployments include to Kosovo (2008) as the KFOR J3 Air - Chief of Helicopter Operations, Afghanistan (2013) as commander of Aviation TF Reaper in RC-North, and most recently to the Middle East (2019/20) as commander of the 1107th Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
BG Schreffler is a senior aviator and is qualified in the UH-1 Iroquois, AH-1 Cobra, AH-64 Apache, and UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters.
He has been employed by CofO since 2003 and serves as the Assistant Adjutant General-Army for the Missouri National Guard.
