The Manager Assistant is where the billing, estimating, and production scheduling for the College print shop takes place.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Meet and greet customers in person and by telephone,
Secure all job specifications,
Know equipment specifications,
Be familiar with the use of paper catalogs,
Be able to interpret factors to produce an accurate estimate of a job,
Upon completion of the job, cost it out to check the accuracy of the estimate and prepare it for billing,
Use PrintSmith to figure the estimate.
Secondary duties and responsibilities:
Orientate all new students to the College print shop on OSHA regulations and standards,
Assist other departments as needed.
MacIntosh and PC Computer knowledge,
Be familiar with Windows, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Publisher,
General knowledge of the printing industry.
Ability to communicate effectively, have a clear voice, good diction, and a friendly customers service attitude,
Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail,
Ability to work well with others and take direction.
