The Dean of Administration operates from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, and oversees several departments on campus.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Process and route work order requests,
Assist with facility permits and the master calendar,
Answer incoming calls on the appropriate telephone lines,
Distribute correspondence to departments that report to the Dean of Administration, as well as other departments on campus.
Secondary duties and responsibilities:
Help other departments on campus,
General cleaning of offices and conference room.
Dependable, punctual and responsible,
Phone skills-able to communicate efficiently and clearly,
People skills-professional conduct and friendly attitude,
Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
Ability to work with others,
Willingness to learn,
The student will:
Learn the Dean of Administration rules and regulations,
Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Jenzabar and other additional programs,
Attention to detail and time management,
Learn professional telephone and office etiquette,
Develop customer service attitude...go above and beyond to help the customer,
Develop good interpersonal skills as well as organization skills,
Learn to process different types of information,
Learn to create and maintain report documents,
Ability to keep appropriate matters confidential.
