College of the Ozarks has introduced Rooted Families, a new initiative designed to equip parents, grandparents, and caregivers with practical tools for Christian formation from infancy through young adulthood.

Rooted Families provides age-appropriate discipleship resources that help caregivers nurture faith in everyday moments of family life. Developed by College faculty and staff, these materials draw from decades of experience guiding students in spiritual and personal growth.

The initiative is founded on Luke 2:52 — “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Following this model of holistic growth, Rooted Families encourages caregivers to walk faithfully alongside children as they develop in wisdom, character, and relationship with Christ.

Families can register at rootedfamilies.cofo.edu to access free formation kits tailored to their child’s developmental stage. Each resource includes a caregiver guide and simple, meaningful activities that integrate Scripture and faith-based conversation into daily routines.

“The mission of Rooted Families is to nurture parents and caregivers as they share their Christian faith and values with the children they love,” said Dr. Andrew Bolger, Dean of Mission Advancement. “We hope that families across the Ozarks benefit from the faith conversations and Christ-centered habits these materials encourage.”

Rooted Families also offers seasonal email resources to help caregivers continue the journey year-round—reminding families that spiritual growth begins at home and flourishes through intentional, grace-filled connection.
