Subject: U.S. News & World Report Ranks C of O #9 Best Regional College in Midwest, #1 Best Value in Midwest, #1 Students with Least Debt!
U.S. News & World Report released its 2013 Best Colleges Rankings and College of the Ozarks again made the top of several lists. The College was named the #9 Best Regional College in the Midwest, #1 Best Value in the Midwest, #1 Students with the Least Debt and the #11 Lowest Acceptance Rate in the nation. It was also recognized as an A+ School for B Students and included on the Service Learning—Programs to Look For list.
Junior business administration major Alisha Gray believes that the College’s rankings will serve her well during her job search after graduation. “It is nice to know that I will graduate from a college that receives high marks,” Gray said. “It’s definitely something I will bring up during an interview with a prospective employer.”
“College of the Ozarks consistently makes the best colleges list compiled by U.S. News & World Report, as well as many other noteworthy rankings lists and all reaffirm the institution’s quality,” said Elizabeth Hughes, public relations director. “U.S. News is a well-known, trusted source for prospective students and their families to consult during their college search.”
To determine the Best Colleges lists, U.S. News analyzes several categories, such as freshman retention rate, student-to-faculty ratio, average graduation rate and peer assessment.
“We rank for best quality, and we rank for best value as well,” the U.S News Staff states on its Why U.S. News Ranks Colleges page. “To find the right college, you need a source of reliable and consistent data—information that lets you compare one college with another and find the differences that matter to you.”
College of the Ozarks has been recognized as a best college by U.S. News yearly since 1989.
