SUBJECT: COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS JONES THREATRE COMPANY PRESENTS KEN LUDWIG’S “THE GAME’S AFOOT”
By: Matt Fender
The College of the Ozarks Jones Theatre Company will present “The Game’s Afoot” on December 6, 7, and 9 at 7:30 p.m., as well as December 8, at 2:30 p.m.
The premise of the play takes place in 1936 when Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play “Sherlock Holmes,” has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Then it’s up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering “whodunit” set during the Christmas holidays.
“We are excited for the upcoming production,” said Associate Professor of Theatre Lisa Young. “Everybody loves a murder mystery.”
Tickets are required to attend this production. Adult Tickets are $10, senior citizens and non-C of O students are $8 and children are $6. College Associates are admitted free upon the presentation of their Associates Card, and their guests tickets are $5.
