SUBJECT: COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS PRESENTS DR. DEL TACKETT FOR A TWO-PART SERIES ON THE CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW

College of the Ozarks presents Dr. Del Tackett, Monday and Tuesday November 4 and 5, in Jones Auditorium at 7 p.m. He will present on the Christian worldview in a consecutive, two-part series.
Dr. Tackett engineered and teaches The Truth Project—a worldwide small group initiative designed to instill a Christian worldview within the body of Christ. Truth Project small groups are currently active in more than 130 countries, and four to five million people have attended the study.
“He is a man with a real zeal for the truth,” said C of O senior international business major Daniel Marriotti. Daniel has been through the seminar and training twice and is a Truth Project Leader. “Dr. Tackett’s goal is to simplify all of history, science and religion, so that people can know what they know is really truth,” said Marriotti.
Dr. Tackett recently produced and co-hosted the television series “Cross Examine,” presenting biblical worldview teaching through the use of real-life stories. He currently teaches biblical studies of social order at the Focus Leadership Institute, a semester program for college students and served as the President of the Leadership Institute for five years, as well as Executive Vice President of Focus on the Family.
He completed more than 20 years of service in the United States Air Force. During the George H. W. Bush administration, he served at the White House, where he was appointed by President Bush as the director of technical planning for the National Security Council. Dr. Tackett has held positions in various senior engineering, analyst and management capacities at Kaman Sciences Corporation and ITT Industries. As a professor, Dr. Tackett has taught more than 30 undergraduate and graduate courses at numerous institutions on topics ranging from philosophy and worldview to science and management.
