Bobcats Fall Short in OT

BobcatsCollege of the Ozarks ended their conference tournament hopes Saturday evening, as they fell 100-90 in an overtime loss to Oklahoma Wesleyan University.  The Bobcats played tough on their opponent's court, tying the game at 84 with seconds left to play in regulation. Nathane Simniok scored 18 points with 8 rebounds and Ethan Murray tallied 16, also with 8 rebounds, to lead the Bobcats.  Oklahoma Wesleyan had two players lead their scoring with 23--Devin Harris and Phillip Jahn.  Although the stats were comparable in many categories, free throw shooting seemed to give OKWU the edge, as they went 26-33 compared to the Ozarks' 10 of only 16 opportunities.  Oklahoma Wesleyan will play for the conference championship on Tuesday evening.  Meanwhile, the Bobcats will await their opportunity to play in the national championship which will be hosted by College of the Ozarks for the 15th year on March 12-18.
