A Valiant Effort

Hannah MeadowsDespite a valiant effort, the Bobcats were defeated in 5 sets Tuesday evening by the Lady Panthers of Drury University.  It was a well-fought match, with scores for each set being incredibly close (except the 4th, which the Bobcats won):  26-24, 23-25, 21-25, 25-14, and 13-15.  Hannah Meadows, Jamie Reaves and Mallory Boone led the Bobcats in kills, the team had 5 service aces, and Hayley Blair, Sarah Kreul and Brianna Winn led the team in double digit digs.   The Bobcats currently stand at 9-9 and are headed to Oklahoma on Thursday.  They will play Oklahoma Baptist on Thursday and then return to conference play on Friday with a match against Oklahoma Wesleyan.

In other news, CONGRATULATIONS go out to Senior Offensive Hitter Hannah Meadows, who was named to the All-Tournament Team following weekend competition in the LaQuinta-KWU Volleyball Invitational.
