Bobcats Come Back Swinging

The Bobcats don't stay down for long!  Following last weekend's four-game sweep by Central Baptist, the Bobcats came back swinging this week, as they defeated Central Christian in both games of Friday's doubleheader by scores of 10-2 and 5-0.

In Game 1, the bats were connecting, as Pentecost went 2-4, scoring two runs; Bowling went 1-3, scoring one and driving in two; and Bohannan went 3 for 3 at the plate with one RBI.  All three had stats which included a double.  Josh Neufeld pitched 8 strong innings giving up only 2 runs on 6 hits and striking out 9.  Myers came in to close out the game in the 9th, giving up only one hit.

The 'Cats posted a shutout victory in Game 2, as Landon Jarrett pitched 7 complete innings, where he gave up no runs on 4 hits with 4 strikeouts.  At the plate, Tyler Lopez went 2-4, while each additional hitter from lead-off through the #6 batter managed to go 1-3, providing the Bobcats with 5 runs.

Both teams will take the diamond again Saturday in another conference doubleheader.
