Full-time Nursing Faculty: Adult Health (two positions) - Starting date is August 2020. The mission of the Department of Nursing is “to present a Christ-centered, Biblically-based, character-driven nursing education program while preparing qualified individuals for a spiritual role as a professional nurse providing service to Christ and humankind.”

Positions require eligibility for RN licensure in MO, a master’s degree in nursing (doctorate preferred), a minimum of two years teaching experience (BSN teaching preferred), a minimum of three years of RN experience, demonstrated clinical expertise in population and/or adult health, and C.N.E or specialty certification. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position requires a commitment to teaching excellence in classroom, clinical, and simulation settings, and serving as a mentor and positive role model for students. This may lead to a multi-year letter of appointment.

Public Safety Officer Position – The College of the Ozarks is looking for a public safety staff officer.  This position is a full-time position and includes benefits.  The general duties of the staff officers include general patrol of the campus (foot and vehicle patrol), working vehicle accidents as well as incidents which happen on the College property, building security (locking and unlocking facilities on a set schedule), enforcement of the college parking and traffic regulations, regulating access to the campus through the front gates, directing traffic and parking cars for special events. The public safety department provides 24/7 coverage which often requires working, holidays, and varied shifts. The successful applicant must have graduated from a certified law enforcement academy, have a law enforcement background, knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, and the ability to work with the various constituents of the College community. Preferred qualifications include two years of full-time law enforcement experience. The candidate must demonstrate strong qualities that will represent the five-fold mission of the College through Academic, Vocational, Christian, Cultural, and Patriotic Missions.  Must be able to pass the appropriate psychological and physical fit for duty testing. Keeter Center -  Restaurant Supervisor - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is a hotel, restaurant and conference center that has an excellent opportunity for an Restaurant Supervisor. The ideal candidate for this position is one who can lead with a passion for excellence service and staff development.  The successful candidate will also provide strategic leadership expertise that ensures the effective and efficient operations of the business while improving on the current model, and in doing so, helps the operation thrive in the Work Education program at the college.  This person must have thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of an upscale restaurant. The right individual will be responsible for all aspects of service including restaurant, room service, bakery, creamery and catered events up to 300.  The successful candidate must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission and five-fold vision and also demonstrate a commitment to service. Other important qualities necessary for this position include strong organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate effectively across the spectrum of current communication media. Keeter Center – Kitchen Supervisor - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is currently hiring for the position of Kitchen Supervisor. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high volume kitchen with a solid background of supervisory skills. Key skill requirements are to lead a staff of 15 students and teach basic food preparation techniques and kitchen sanitation. Preferred qualifications include good communication skills, a positive attitude, an eye for detail, and relate well with the Academic, Vocational, Christian, Cultural, and Patriotic mission of the College.Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Functional, hands-on management of meal services
  • Ensuring a positive guest experience
  • Engaging with and taking an active part in the professional development of student workers
