The following was posted on March 13, 2019:

Industrial Engineering - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in industrial engineering and related topics.  In support of our young and growing multidisciplinary engineering program, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses across the range of industrial engineering topics, as well as support work in related areas such as manufacturing and systems engineering and assist with teaching core engineering topics.  Additional duties include advising students, supporting senior design projects, working on projects with regional industry, and participating in student design competitions.

The preferred start date is no later than August 1, 2019.

The position requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in industrial engineering or a related field, and a self-motivated, versatile individual with strong classroom teaching skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with other faculty members.  Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. and have a P.E. license with industry experience.  Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

College of the Ozarks is a small (1,500 students), liberal arts, work-study college with a commitment to evangelical Christian faith and service, located in southwest Missouri near Branson (www.cofo.edu).  The successful candidate must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission, demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate students, commit to serving as a mentor and positive role model, and pursue integration of engineering practice and Christian faith.

Keeter Center – Hotel Manager - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is a hotel, restaurant and conference center that has an excellent opportunity for a Hospitality professional. The ideal candidate for this position is one who can lead with a passion for excellence service and staff development.  The successful candidate will also provide strategic leadership expertise that ensures the effective and efficient operations of the business while improving on the current model, and in doing so, helps the operation thrive in the Work Education program at the college.

Areas of responsibility include Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Retail/Gift Shop, Security, Sales and Maintenance. Position works with direct reports to develop and implement departmental strategies and ensures implementation of service standards. The position ensures operations meet the standards, target guest needs, ensure staff development, focuses on growing business and maximizes the financial performance of the operations.

The successful candidate must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission and five-fold vision and also demonstrate a commitment to service. Other important qualities necessary for this position include strong organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate effectively across the spectrum of current communication media.
