Licensed Christian Counselor (part time) – School of the Ozarks, a laboratory school of College of the Ozarks, invites applications for a part-time (twenty hours per week) counselor serving grades K-12. Starting date is August 2018, with up to ten required training dates in the summer; salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position would require the individual to be at School of the Ozarks four hours per day each school day, as well as some school professional development days. Applicants should hold a professional counseling license. A school counseling degree is not required. Primary responsibilities would include, but may not be limited to, building relationships with all students, meeting with students who have expressed or exhibited emotional needs as requested, developing age-appropriate presentations for various student groups, coordinating standardized testing each spring, and assisting juniors and seniors with the college application, selection, and scholarship processes. The position is considered a College of the Ozarks staff position, serving as counselor in the laboratory school under the direction of the dean, Mr. Brad Dolloff. Preference will be given to one who has successfully demonstrated the ability to build relationships with and effectively counsel Christian youth. The candidate should also demonstrate an understanding of classical Christian education, as well as the desire and talent to assist teachers in implementing a classical curriculum, while maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, and staff.

Civil Engineering - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in civil engineering and related topics. In support of our young and growing multidisciplinary engineering program, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses across the range of civil engineering topics, as well as support work in related areas such as agricultural engineering and assist with teaching core engineering topics. Additional duties include advising students, supporting senior design projects, working on projects with regional industry, and participating in student design competitions.
The preferred start date is no later than August 1, 2018.
The position requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in civil engineering or a related field, and a self-motivated, versatile individual with strong classroom teaching skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with other faculty members. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. and have industry experience. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Adjunct Collaborative Artist—Chapel Organist/Pianist – College of the Ozarks invites applications for a part-time collaborative artist position in its music department. Starting date is July/August 2018. Master’s degree in organ performance, piano performance, or a related field required. Primary responsibilities include accompanying the college's weekly chapel services on a 1926 Skinner 4-manual organ and accompanying the college's chapel choir on piano and organ. Additional responsibilities may include accompanying faculty, guest artists, and students in recitals, auditions, lessons, studio classes, recital hearings, and juries. Ensemble responsibilities may also include accompanying the College of the Ozarks Chorale. There is also the possibility of adjunct teaching in areas of individual expertise. Admissions Representative - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time Admissions Representative. Bachelor’s degree is required. Starting date is August 1, 2018. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Representing the College at college fairs and high school visits (overnight travel required); conducting interviews of prospective students; assisting with the coordination and planning of annual recruiting events and new student banquet, and assisting with management of the admissions office social media accounts. This is a ten-month position: August 1-May 31).

Engineering Adjunct – The James P. Keeter School of Engineering at the College of the Ozarks is seeking engineers interested teaching courses as an adjunct or visiting instructor. The multidisciplinary program, which admitted its first students in fall 2016, introduces students to a broad range of engineering disciplines and functions. As such, adjunct instructors are needed to augment the full-time faculty to cover the breadth of engineering. We are currently building a pool of qualified instructors. Specific courses and the times of those courses would be negotiated as the need arises. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
