10 Megan Jewell

Position: G

Hometown: Willard, Mo
Academic Major: Physical Education: K-12
Workstation: Library

Megan enters her second season for the Lady Bobcats.  The 5’7” junior guard played one season at Evangel University prior to transferring to C of O.  A season ago, Megan suffered an early season finger injury, which impacted the rest of her year.  Megan looks to play an enhanced role for the team this season after spending the off-season making significant improvements to every aspect of her game.  The Willard, MO native was a First Team All-State, All-District, All-Ozarks, and COC All-Conference selection her senior season.  In addition, Megan was a member of the National Honor Society and continues to be a strong student in the college setting.



11 Kelsey Combs

Hometown: Branson, Mo
Academic Major: Undecided
Workstation: Day Care Center

Kelsey begins her sophomore season for the Lady Bobcats after gaining valuable experience last season.  Unfortunately, Kelsey suffered an early season knee injury which forced her to miss the first half of last season.  She looks to make a strong bid for playing time at the guard position, utilizing her ball handling and passing skills.  The 5’7” Branson native led the Lady Pirates to a District Championship her senior season.  She was a MBCA All-State selection, as well as All-District and the powerful COC All-Conference.  In addition, Kelsey is the Branson school record holder in assists for a career, season, and game.



12 Melissa Duval

Academic Major: Physical Education: K-12
Workstation: Hospital

Melissa enters her senior year for the Lady Bobcats with aspirations of exceeding her accomplishments from last season.  The primary guard off the bench, Melissa provided potent shooting ability, as well as being a defensive stalwart for the Final Four team a year ago.  Another summer of working hard on her game has put Melissa in position to contend for a spot in the starting lineup.  She figures to play a vital role in the success of this year’s team.   Melissa is a strong student in the classroom and earned Academic All-American honors last season.  The Lincoln, NE native played at Lincoln Christian High and was named Honorable Mention All-Conference her sophomore and senior seasons and First Team All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention her junior season.  In addition, Melissa was chosen as Academic All-Conference and Academic All-State her senior season.



14 Kayla Davidson

Academic Major: Undecided
Workstation: Day Care Center

Kayla enters her first season for the Lady Bobcats after a standout career at Strafford High School.  One of the best shooters in school history, Kayla ended her career as the 2nd all-time leading scorer.  She was a three time All-Conference and All-District selection.  She also participated in the Lion’s Club All-Star and the Gerald Pilz All-Star game.  In addition, Kayla played softball and earned All-Conference honors three years, All-District, All-Region, and her team finished second in the State Tournament.  Kayla looks to bring her shooting abilities to the college level and continue the tradition of fine shooting ability in the program.



21 Kayla Messick

Hometown: Marshfield, Mo
Academic Major: Elementary Education
Workstation: Day Care Center

In her senior season, Kayla looks to enhance her role from a year ago in which she provided steady play off the bench for the Lady Bobcats at the guard position.  She had a solid assist to turnover ratio of 1.68 last season, which was second in the conference.  Her contributions on the defensive side of the ball will continue to play dividends for the Lady Bobcats.  Kayla played at Marshfield High School where she was named to the prestigious Pink and White Tournament and Marshfield All-Tournament team her senior season.  In addition, she was named to the COC 2nd Team All-Conference, which is one of the most dominant conferences in the state.



22 Julie Gray

Workstation: Library

Sophomore walk-on Julie Gray brings a tremendous work ethic to the Lady Bobcat team.  She continuously strives to make improvements in her game.  Julie’s team-first attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to be successful is a valuable asset for the team.  The Norwood native was a two sport standout in high school, including a three time basketball All-Conference selection, two-time All-District pick, and a three time member of the KKOZ Dream Team.  In softball, Julie was a three time All-Conference and All-District award winner.



23 Tara LaRue

Position: F

Height: 5-11

Year: Sophomore
Hometown: Bergman, AR
Academic Major: Conservation and Wildlife Management
Workstation: Laundry

After redshirting her first season with the Lady Bobcats, Tara had a breakout year and started every game last season.  She made steady improvements over the course of the season and looks to play an even more vital role this year.  Her competitive spirit, aggressiveness, and athleticism makes her a lock-down defender for the team, a role in which she relishes.  Tara’s ability to get to the basket and create plays on her own, as well as improving outside shooting capabilities, will contribute to the success of the team.  Last season Tara was 13th nationally in assist to turnover ratio at 1.81, and she averaged 6.5 points per game.  The 5’11” guard from Bergman, AR was a member of three high school state tournament teams, including her team advancing to the State Championship game and another to the Final Four.  While in high school, Tara was an All-State selection, two-time All-Conference, All-Regional, and three time All-District.



24 Miranda Vaught

Academic Major: Agriculture Business
Workstation: Agriculture Department

In her second season for the Lady Bobcats, Maranda looks to enhance her role of a year ago in which she earned important minutes playing behind a group of experienced guards.  A talented guard with tremendous athleticism and shooting ability, Maranda has the opportunity to carry on the tradition of tough guard play for the Lady Bobcats.  While at Crane High School, Maranda led her team to the school’s first trip to the Final Four, and earned First Team All-State and All-District honors, in addition to being named MVP of the SWCL conference.



31 Madison Culpepper

Position: C

Academic Major: Sociology: Social Work
Workstation: R.A. Ashcroft Dorm

A native of Heavener, Oklahoma, Madison has continued to make improvements to her game to earn significant minutes at the post position for the Lady Bobcats.  A season ago, Madison averaged 10.8 minutes a game, playing behind an All-American and two All-Conference performers.  Madison’s strength, athleticism, along with defensive and shot blocking abilities, will continue to be assets for the Lady Bobcats.  The graduation of two post players puts Madison in perfect position to play a vital role for the team this season.  While at Heavener High School, Madison was named to the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-State, as well as a three time All-Conference selection. 



40 Morgan Hickey

Academic Major: Elementary Education
Workstation: Alumni Office

Morgan begins her sophomore season for the Lady Bobcats after redshirting one season.  The past two seasons have provided Morgan with the opportunity to get stronger and recover from knee surgery.  The 5’10” forward brings strong leadership and a solid work ethic, as well as the physical attributes to be a quality player for the Lady Bobcat programs.  The Blue Eye native led her team to a state quarterfinal appearance her junior season and was a three time SWCL All-Conference selection and All-District her last two seasons.



41 Katie Beshoner

Hometown: Roland, OK
Academic Major: Physical Education: Health/Wellness
Workstation: Ralph Foster Museum

Katie, as well as twin sister Jenny, joins the Lady Bobcats after spending her freshman season at NCAA Division II Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK and her sophomore season at Carl Albert Junior College in Poteau, OK, where she averaged 7.5 points per game.  Katie’s athleticism, slashing and shooting ability will provide immediate depth at the forward position for the Lady Bobcats.  The Roland, Oklahoma native earned Honorable Mention All-State honors, as well as All-Conference, All-District, and All-Region member.  In addition, she was named MVP of the Kiamichi All-Star game.



42 Emily Bell

Hometown: Berryville, AR
Academic Major: Elementary Education
Workstation: KC Restaurant

Emily begins her second and final season for C of O after transferring from North Arkansas Community College.  The Berryville, AR native made an immediate impact for the Lady Bobcats, spending most of the season in the starting lineup, while averaging 10.8 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game, while garnering MCAC Newcomer of the Year honors as well as All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.   After a productive summer of working on her game, strength and conditioning, Emily figures to play a crucial role in the success of the team this season.  As a player at North Ark, Emily was selected as a Third Team All-American, All-Region, Regional Tournament MVP, while leading her team to the Regional Championship.  Emily was a three sport standout athlete at Berryville High School, earning All-State and All-Conference in basketball, volleyball, and track.



43 Jenny Beshoner

Academic Major: Dietetics
Workstation: Ralph Foster Museum

Jenny joins twin sister Katie at C of O after spending one season at NCAA Division II Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK.  She followed that by a season at Carl Albert Junior College in Poteau, OK, where she averaged 9.3 points per game.  The 6’0” forward looks to use her experience, athleticism and shooting skills to play a significant role for the Lady Bobcats this season.  While at Roland High School, Jenny was an Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-State selection, as well as All-Star All-State, All-Conference, All-District, All-Region, and a participant in the Kiamichi All-Star game.



45 Morgan Smith

Hometown: Nixa, MO
Academic Major: Undecided
Workstation: Library

Fresh off a State Championship at Class 5 Nixa High School, Morgan looks to add immediate depth at the post position for the Lady Bobcats.  Tough minded and competitive, Morgan brings a winning attitude to the program and looks to be a fine addition in continuing the tradition of success.  While playing at Marshfield three seasons and Nixa her final year, Morgan earned All-State honors her senior season,  in addition to All-Conference and All-District selections her final two seasons.  This past summer, Morgan participated in the Gerald Pilz All-Star, Lion’s Club, and MBCA All-Star games.
