This scholarship encourages top-ranking high school seniors to attend college in Missouri. To be eligible, you must:
- Have a composite score on the American College Testing Program (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) in the top 3 percent of all Missouri students taking those tests
- Be a graduating high school senior who enrolls as a first-time, full-time student in an approved Missouri post secondary school
- Be a Missouri resident and a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
- Not be pursuing a degree or certificate in theology or divinity
- Qualifying ACT or SAT composite score must be achieved by June test dates

Missouri Agriculture Industries Council/MO-AG
MO-AG provides educational opportunities

Missouri Minority Teacher Education Scholarship
Competitive, renewable award for up to four years
$3000 per year
Requirements:
- Missouri resident
- Be African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, or Native American
- High school senior, college student, or returning adult (without a degree) who ranks in the top 25 percent of their high school class and scores at or above the 75th percentile on the ACT or SAT examination
- Or, individuals who have completed 30 college hours and have a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0
- Or, individuals with a baccalaureate degree who are returning to an approved math or science teacher education program

Marguerite Ross Barnett
This scholarship was established for students who are employed while attending school part time.
To be eligible, students must:
- Be a Missouri resident and a United States citizen or an eligible non citizen
- Be enrolled at least half time but less than full time at a participating Missouri post secondary school
- Be employed and compensated for at least 20 hours per week
- Be 18 years or older
- Demonstrate financial need based on the FAFSA
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Not be pursuing a degree or certificate in theology or divinity
- Be pursuing your first bachelor's degree
- Cannot have completed more than 150 credit hours

Missouri Travel Council Scholarship
In 2010, The Missouri Travel Council will offer two (2) $1000.00 scholarships payable to the institution of higher learning of the applicant’s choice.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in an accredited college or university in the State of Missouri.
- Applicant must be pursuing a hospitality related major such as hotel/restaurant management, parks and recreation, etc.
- Applicant must be a current resident of the state of Missouri.
- Applicant must have a grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicant is required to submit at least one letter of recommendation.
- Applicant is required to complete the Scholarship Application Form and submit to MTC office. Areas of interest include: Goals/Future Plans/Statement of Why You Are Pursuing A Career in Hospitality/Tourism Field; Community Involvement; Academic Activities/Achievement; and Hospitality/Tourism Related Experience.
- Deadline for Submittals: Application and Letter(s) of Recommendation must be received at Missouri Travel Council office by March 2, 2010.
- Winners will be notified by April 1, 2010.
- Priority of selection criteria is as follows:

Dr. Mary King Long Scholarship
Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to an individual pursuing a career in a medically oriented field. Depending on the availability of funds, scholarship is $300 per student/ semester (renewable) with multiple recipients.
Requirements: Full time student enrolled in a medically oriented program associated with an accredited college, university or vocational/technical school.
- Resident of Taney or Stone County.
- Demonstration of financial need as determined by FAFSA EFC Report.
- Past recipients of the scholarship may re-apply for additional awards. To maintain eligibility, grades must be reported each grading period and an updated FAFSA EFC submitted annually.
- Due December 1 or July. For renewal, grades must be provided at the end of each grading period.

Southwest Missouri Public Relations Society of America’s
The Southwest Missouri Public Relations Society of America chapter (SWMO PRSA) is an organization that provides an inviting & active forum for sharing ideas & experiences among public relations professionals in southwest Missouri.
Dr. Joe McAdoo is a founder & past president of the Public Relations Association of Springfield (which evolved into SWMO PRSA) & former chair of the Department of Communication at Drury University. He was committed to fostering educational opportunities that maintain the distinction & integrity of the public relations profession.
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks manages the scholarship fund.
The scholarship:
- One (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded for the 2009-2010 academic year ($500 fall/$500 spring).
- The recipient also may attend SWMO PRSA monthly membership meetings & our annual professional development seminar free-of-charge (a $150 value) during the academic year.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be an undergraduate student beginning the junior or senior year or a graduate student pursuing a degree in communication, public relations or a closely related area.
- Applicants must be enrolled full-time (taking at least 12 credit hours per semester undergraduate, 9 hours graduate) at one of the following institutions: College of the Ozarks; Drury University; Evangel University; Missouri Southern State University; Missouri State University; or Southwest Baptist University.
- Selection of the scholarship winner will be based on interest & involvement in communications, academic standing & campus &/or community involvement.
Selection committee:
The SWMO-PRSA scholarship selection committee will consist of five members: two SWMO PRSA members, including the scholarship committee chair; & three professionals who’re working in communications &/or public relations, who are neither PRSA members nor employed by the academic institutions of eligible scholarship applicants. All members of the scholarship selection committee will be approved by the SWMO PRSA board of directors.

1) a completed application form
2) a copy of official sealed transcripts
3) an updated resume (please emphasize items that highlight communication activities & interests)

KY3 BROADCAST SCHOLARSHIP
KY3 is the leading television station in Springfield, Missouri. We have a keen interest in the excellence of
broadcast education. KY3 has established this scholarship to encourage students of the highest caliber to enter broadcasting as a career and to seek the highest quality education in the field.
KY3 will be awarding two (2), thousand dollar scholarships ($1,000) for the 2010-2011 school year.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be an Arkansas or Missouri resident, with a permanent address in one of the following Counties: ARKANSAS: Baxter, Boone, Carroll, Fulton, Marion and Newton MISSOURI: Barry, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Lawrence, Laclede, Oregon, Ozark, Polk, Pulaski, St. Clair, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, and Wright
- Attending a post-secondary institution (two or four-year college or vo-tech/trade school) during the 2010-11school year.
- Enrolled in a broadcast or related curriculum, which provides training and expertise applicable to a broadcast operation. Broadcast related degrees may include, but are not limited to: Accounting, Communications,
Engineering, Journalism, Mass Media and Marketing
- Enrolled in at least 12 hours each semester the scholarship is awarded
- Minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent

C. Lawrence Leggett Scholarship and Missouri Insurance Education Foundation Scholarship
These scholarships are for a junior or senior student majoring in insurance or related field of study at a Missouri college or university.
Applicants must:
- Be a Missouri resident;
- Be a full time junior or senior student in the fall of 2009;
- Be majoring in insurance or a related field with the intension of; working in insurance. Business, marketing, and accounting are considered as related field;
- Must demonstrate scholarship—in the complete sense—consistent with capacity and circumstances. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5;
- Preferences may be given to a student who demonstrates financial need. Also preference maybe given to students with experience with working in insurance.

- Deadline for applications is March 31, 2009. Applications postmarked after that date will not be considered.
Applicants must submit:
- Completed typed application form (handwritten and/or incomplete applications will not be processed).
- Letter of application addressed to the Scholarship Committee of the Missouri Insurance Education Foundation containing a brief explanation of career goals and biographical (background) information.
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from college professors or former employers supporting the application.
- A complete college transcript.
