Director of Security Position – The College of the Ozarks is looking for a director of security.  This position is a full-time position and includes benefits.  The general duties of the staff officers include general patrol of the campus (foot and vehicle patrol), working vehicle accidents as well as incidents which happen on the College property, building security (locking and unlocking facilities on a set schedule), enforcement of the college parking and traffic regulations, directing traffic and parking cars for special events.  Additional duties for the director include supervising full-time and student officers and front-gate workers, scheduling of workers, special event coordination, coordinate training for the department, institutional and governmental data collection, and basic investigative skills.  The successful applicant will have a law enforcement background, knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, and the ability to work with the various constituents of the College community. Full-Time Business Professor - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time teaching position in business, rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Starting date is August 2010. Possible courses include Introductory Management, Business Law, Free Enterprise Studies and the candidate should also have a desire to serve as a sponsor to the S.I.F.E. team (Students in Free Enterprise). A qualified candidate will have the opportunity to develop courses within his/her area of expertise. Master’s degree plus five years of business experience required. Ph.D. preferred. This position requires a commitment to teaching excellence and serving as a mentor and positive role model for our students. This position may lead to a multi-year letter of appointment. PSYCHOLOGY - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time teaching position in psychology; rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Starting date is August 2010. Requirements include generalist skills in the field of psychology, with a Ph.D. preferred (ABD acceptable). Responsibilities include teaching courses in personality development, research methods, group dynamics, as well as introductory and upper-division psychology courses.  Other responsibilities include advising psychology majors and preparing students for careers in human services, education, or an advanced degree. Full-time Agriculture Teaching/Assistant Dairy Farm Manager Position. College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time position in agriculture teaching and assistant dairy farm manager, rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Preferred starting date is June 1, 2010. The position requires a self-motivated individual with an in-depth understanding of dairy production at the farm level. Experience with Holstein dairy cattle and milk processing would be advantageous. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or greater in animal or dairy science, or a related field. This position is half-time teaching and half-time assistant dairy farm manager. The assistant manager requires supervising students at our 50-60 cow working dairy and milk processing plant. This position requires a commitment to excellence in teaching and dairy management, and serving as a mentor and positive Christian role model to our students. This position may lead to a multi-year letter of appointment.
