As you earn your degree in dietetics, you will gain knowledge and skills
in a number of areas, such as:
•
the scientific aspects of foods
•
the relationship of food and its components to health
•
food systems management
•
accounting and personnel administration
•
understanding of people, how they live and how you can apply what you
have learned to assist them
As a dietetics major at College of the Ozarks, you will have the advantage
of being in a department in which the student faculty ratio is very low.
This will enable you to receive more individualized help with your course
work. The faculty is able to give personalized counseling to enable you
to achieve your specific career goals. At CofO, opportunities are available
for dietetic majors to complete independent studies for course credit
at local area institutions and programs, such a the community hospital
and the Woman, Infants, Children (WIC) clinic.
