POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — School of the Ozarks is hosting an Open House on Thursday, Feb. 1, from 7:45 to 9 a.m.

Limited spots are available for the upcoming fall 2018 school year. Parents and families with children in the following grades are encouraged to attend the Open House:

·         Kindergarten – 16 openings

·         First Grade – 4 openings

·         Sixth Grade – 1 opening

·         Seventh Grade – 3 openings

·         Ninth Grade – 2 openings (must have had algebra 1 or be willing to take it during the summer; must master some basic Latin skills before entering ninth grade)

·         10th Grade – 4 openings (priority consideration given to those who have been classically trained)

·         11th Grade – 1 opening (priority consideration given to those who have been classically trained)

The purpose of the Open House is for families who desire for their children to receive a Christ-centered education to receive a snapshot of School of the Ozarks. There will be a brief explanation of classical Christian education and how it is implemented at School of the Ozarks. Families who attend will be able to observe Lower School memory time, take a tour of the facilities, and receive an application for the 2018-2019 school year. Applications are not available prior to the Open House.

The presentation will be geared towards families of K-8 students because the majority of openings are in those grades. However, applications will be available for the small number of openings in grades 9-12.

For additional information, contact the Lower School at (417) 690-2380.
