Tim Goeglein, senior advisor at Focus on the Family, speaks to students at College of the Ozarks
POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — Tim Goeglein, a senior advisor at Focus on the Family, spoke at College of the Ozarks on Jan. 29 during a convocation for students.
Goeglein is the senior advisor to the president and vice president for external relations at Focus on the Family and has served in high level government posts for the past two decades.
Goeglein reminded students of the importance of humility when moving up the proverbial ladder.
“Prideful people don’t see clearly the extraordinary blessings they are given,” Goeglein said. “If I never have another blessing, I’d still have enough for a lifetime.”
Goeglein worked as special assistant to President George W. Bush, where he was the deputy director of the White House office of public liaison from 2001 to 2008. He was the president’s principal outreach contact for conservatives, think tanks, Veteran groups, faith-based groups, and some of America’s leading cultural organizations.
“He is a man of humility,” said Evan Jones, sophomore biblical and theological studies major. “He understands the foundation and purpose of being a follower of Christ.”
