The Ralph Foster Museum at College of the Ozarks will re-open for the season and offer free admission January 20- February 8 for anyone living in the Stone, Taney, Ozark, Christian, Douglas, Webster, Greene and Barry counties in Missouri and Boone, Marion, Baxter, Carroll and Lawrence counties in Arkansas.

Dedicated to the history of the Ozarks region and named in honor of radio pioneer and philanthropist Ralph D. Foster, the Museum houses thousands of objects representing archaeology, history, firearms, antiques, numismatics, natural history, fine arts, geology and mineralogy.

In 2013, Rural Missouri magazine named the Museum as the Readers’ Choice for “Best Museum in Missouri. The Ralph Foster Museum nicknamed, “The Smithsonian of the Ozarks,” is a three-story museum dedicated to the Ozark’s history and culture. Rural Missouri magazine noted that the Museum houses the Beverly Hillbillies car and also “one of the Midwest’s finest firearms collections.”

The hours for the Ralph Foster Museum are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday thru Saturday. For more information on the Museum, call (417) 690-3407.
