What is it? College BASE (C-BASE) is an exam that evaluates your knowledge and reasoning skills in four subject areas: English, mathematics, science, and social studies. The C-BASE exam is designed to provide a fair assessment of your skills and knowledge. A minimum score of 235 on each section of the C-BASE exam combined with a 3.0 GPA, or a minimum score of 265 in three of the five sections and 235 in two sections combined with a 2.7 GPA is required prior to admission to the College's Teacher Education Program.

How do I register? Students may register in the Education Office on the 1st floor of McKibben Center by completing a registration form and paying the test fee of $42 (cash or check).

MoGEA (Missouri General Education Assessment) is a new online exam required by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education that evaluates the knowledge and reasoning skills of teacher candidates in five subject areas: English, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. The exam is designed to provide a fair assessment of your skills and knowledge. Minimum passing scores for this exam are currently being established by the State Board of Education.

How do I register? All registration will take place online beginning in mid-September at http://www.mo.nesinc.com/. The full test is $49 and single test sections are $25 each. A test sitting fee is assessed for all non-College of the Ozarks' students; this fee is paid at the testing site.
What is it? The Praxis II Specialty Area Subject exams are designed to test a student’s knowledge in his/her subject area (exit exam). Each College of the Ozarks’ Education Major must pass the Praxis II Specialty Area Subject Exam in their major area to be eligible for student teaching through College of the Ozarks and also to be eligible for Missouri teacher certification. Students are encouraged to take the Praxis exam the semester prior to their student teaching experience.

How do I register?
Registration for the Praxis exam is completed on line at least one month in advance of the test date at www.ets.org/praxis.
