Dear Alumnus,

Preparations are being made for a very special Homecoming!

The activities begin on Thursday evening with the queen coronation.  Friday evening’s highlight will be the basketball game at 7:00 p.m. when the Lady Bobcats play Lindenwood University.

Saturday will be a day full of activities beginning with the Alumni Breakfast at The Keeter Center and ending with the Alumni Banquet at the Youngman Agricultural Center.  Tickets for both of these events are limited, so please order your tickets early.

The Homecoming theme this year is“Life is Good…to be Continued.” The Homecoming Committee’s idea behind the theme is that no matter what may be going on in the world, life is still good. It was good when we were students at the College and that continues for students there today. One of the wonderful things about CofO is that it prepares students for life after College – through the work program, classes, and all the opportunities it offers to students – they are better equipped to face the world outside the Gates of Opportunity. For many of us, one of the aspects that made life so good are the lifelong friendships that formed while we were students. Getting together on campus every fall at homecoming is just one example of how life continues to be good after graduation. Homecoming is a wonderful time to reconnect with our friends and college acquaintances. I want to encourage you to come join us for the festivities again this year.

I hope to see you on campus November 5, 2011.

  Sincerely,
Sandy (Roberts) Cooper ’78
