English Composition – College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in English composition.  Starting date is August 2019; rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Master’s degree in composition or a related field required; Ph.D. or ABD and college-level teaching experience preferred. Responsibilities include teaching college composition as part of the College’s general education curriculum and serving as an academic advisor to students.  Preference for the position will be given to a composition specialist with the ability to motivate undergraduate students to write well.

Keeter Center Kitchen Supervisor - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is currently hiring for the position of Kitchen Supervisor. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high volume kitchen with a solid background of supervisory skills. Key skill requirements are to lead a staff of 15 students and teach basic food preparation techniques and kitchen sanitation. Preferred qualifications include good communication skills, a positive attitude, an eye for detail, and relate well with the Academic, Vocational, Christian, Cultural, and Patriotic mission of the College.Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Functional, hands-on management of meal services
  • Ensuring a positive guest experience
  • Engaging with and taking an active part in the professional development of student workers
  • Demonstrating and upholding the standards of The Keeter Center and the goals and mission of College of the Ozarks

1st Grade Teacher – School of the Ozarks, a laboratory school of College of the Ozarks, invites applications for a full-time faculty position for 1st grade. Starting date is August 2019 with some required training dates in July; rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Master’s degree or higher preferred but not required. Preference will be given to one who has successfully demonstrated the ability to build relationships with and maintain high expectations for 1st grade students. The candidate should also demonstrate an understanding of classical Christian education, as well as the desire and talent to implement a classical curriculum, while maintaining positive relationships with students, parents and faculty. The position is considered a College of the Ozarks faculty position, teaching in the laboratory school under the direction of the dean, Mr. Brad Dolloff.

Junior High & High School Girls Basketball - School of the Ozarks, a laboratory school of College of the Ozarks, is seeking a junior high and high school girls’ basketball coach.  The position would have a start date of August 15 (with some possible additional dates this summer) and would extend through the end of the high school girls basketball season (near the end of March).  Knowledge and experience with coaching basketball are required, and the candidate must be available for all practices (which run from  6:30 AM through 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday) and all games which are scheduled on various evenings Monday through Saturday.

Vocal Music (K-12) – School of the Ozarks, a laboratory school of College of the Ozarks, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in vocal music. Starting date is August 2019 with some required training dates in the summer; rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Master’s degree or higher preferred but not required. Primary responsibility would include classroom management and implementing a K-12 vocal music curriculum.  Two to three concerts per year at both the upper and lower schools, as well as MSHSAA competitions for secondary grades are expected. The position is considered a College of the Ozarks faculty position, teaching in the laboratory school under the direction of the dean, Mr. Brad Dolloff.

Keeter Center – Guest Services Supervisor-Night Auditor - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is a hotel, restaurant and conference center that has an excellent opportunity for a Night Auditor. The right person will have a thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of hotel-resort operations and light accounting. The Night Auditor will be responsible for overnight front desk, reservations, guest services and night auditor duties. Previous Night Auditor experience of two years required. Keeter Center – Guest Services Supervisor-Part Time - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is a hotel, restaurant and conference center that has an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional. Previous hotel management experience of two years required.  The successful candidate will also provide strategic leadership expertise that ensures the effective and efficient operations of the business while improving on the current model, and in doing so, helps the operation thrive in the Work Education program at the college.

The Guest Services Supervisor will be responsible for the front desk, reservations, guest services, housekeeping, gift shop, inspections and scheduling. Keeter Center – Restaurant Supervisor  -  The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is currently hiring for the position of Restaurant Supervisor.  A successful candidate for this position demonstrates thorough knowledge of Restaurant management practices and a strong desire to help develop a very fast-paced and detail-oriented team.  Previous restaurant management experience of two years required.  We are seeking candidates that are capable of hands-on-management and overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, bakery, creamery and room service. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Industrial Engineering - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in industrial engineering and related topics.  In support of our young and growing multidisciplinary engineering program, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses across the range of industrial engineering topics, as well as support work in related areas such as manufacturing and systems engineering and assist with teaching core engineering topics.  Additional duties include advising students, supporting senior design projects, working on projects with regional industry, and participating in student design competitions.

The preferred start date is no later than August 1, 2019.

The position requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in industrial engineering or a related field, and a self-motivated, versatile individual with strong classroom teaching skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with other faculty members.  Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. and have a P.E. license with industry experience.  Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
