Baker - The College of the Ozarks is looking for an experienced Baker at the College’s Student Dining Center.  The ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a high volume and fast paced kitchen with a solid background of supervisory skills.  The Baker is responsible for daily breakfast, lunch and dinner scratch baked items, in addition to fulfilling catering needs. Key skill requirements are to lead a staff of 15 students and teach basic food preparation techniques and kitchen sanitation. Preferred qualifications include good communication skills, a positive attitude, an eye for detail, and relate well with the Academic, Vocational, Christian, Cultural, and Patriotic mission points of the College. Keeter Center -  Restaurant Supervisor - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is a hotel, restaurant and conference center that has an excellent opportunity for an Restaurant Supervisor. The ideal candidate for this position is one who can lead with a passion for excellence service and staff development.  The successful candidate will also provide strategic leadership expertise that ensures the effective and efficient operations of the business while improving on the current model, and in doing so, helps the operation thrive in the Work Education program at the college.  This person must have thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of an upscale restaurant. The right individual will be responsible for all aspects of service including restaurant, room service, bakery, creamery and catered events up to 300.  The successful candidate must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission and five-fold vision and also demonstrate a commitment to service. Other important qualities necessary for this position include strong organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate effectively across the spectrum of current communication media. Keeter Center – Kitchen Supervisor - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is currently hiring for the position of Kitchen Supervisor. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high volume kitchen with a solid background of supervisory skills. Key skill requirements are to lead a staff of 15 students and teach basic food preparation techniques and kitchen sanitation. Preferred qualifications include good communication skills, a positive attitude, an eye for detail, and relate well with the Academic, Vocational, Christian, Cultural, and Patriotic mission of the College.Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Functional, hands-on management of meal services
  • Ensuring a positive guest experience

Assistant/Associate Professor of Engineering and Chemistry or Computer Science or Physics -  College of the Ozarks invites applicants for a full-time, cross-disciplinary faculty position in engineering and the sciences starting August 2020.  As the first engineering program at a federally-recognized work college, our multi-disciplinary engineering program is joining the established science programs to provide students with a unique opportunity to develop workplace skills alongside academic coursework.  College of the Ozarks is committed to hiring and promoting faculty who embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission, pursue excellence in teaching undergraduate students, commit to serving as a mentor and positive role model, and seek integration of their academic discipline and Christian faith.  Faculty are expected to be self-motivated and versatile with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.  Primary responsibilities for this position are developing and teaching undergraduate engineering courses, as well as science courses based on the candidate’s credentials and expertise.  Preference will be given to candidates with credentials in chemistry, computer science, or physics.
