Women’s Residence Director Position - The College of the Ozarks is looking for a women’s Residence Director.  This is a full-time, live-in (12 month) professional position.  The Residence Director will work closely with the Dean of Students and the Director of Residence Life to ensure that housing operations run accordingly for the hall.  The applicant should encompass a biblical worldview with a desire to develop citizens of Christ-like character.  The major responsibilities will consist of responding to immediate student issues and coordinating programming efforts that are aligned with the mission of the College.  The successful candidate should possess good communication skills, a positive attitude, appropriate organizational skills, and relate well with the Academic, Vocational, Christian, Cultural, and Patriotic mission points of the College.  In addition, the Residence Director will be assigned a secondary role as determined by the Dean of Students.  The nature of this position requires some evening and weekend work hours.   This position requires a background check.  Please submit resume/application by Friday, October 4, 2019 to Vicki Wrosch in the Business Office or mail to Vicki Wrosch, College of the Ozarks, P.O. Agricultural Economics - College of the Ozarks is seeking applicants for a nine-month faculty position in agricultural economics at the rank of assistant or associate professor in its Division of Business, Applied, and Technical Sciences. This position requires a master’s degree in agricultural/applied economics, finance, or a related field, with a Ph.D. strongly preferred. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach jointly in the College’s agriculture and business departments. Specific teaching assignments will depend on the training, experience, and professional interests of the successful applicant but may include undergraduate courses in agricultural economics, agribusiness, economics, finance, and quantitative methods. This is a 100% teaching appointment, and the successful applicant will primarily be evaluated on teaching/advising; however, other forms of scholarship as well as service to the college and community are actively encouraged and supported.

Conservation and Wildlife Management - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in conservation and wildlife management. Ph.D. in wildlife management or field biology with training in areas related to natural resource management preferred. Responsibilities include teaching wildlife management, fisheries biology, and other field vertebrate courses; providing oversight of the Conservation and Wildlife Management major, which is an interdisciplinary program residing in both biology and agriculture departments; working with the College’s agriculture department to monitor and manage wildlife populations on more than 1,000 acres of land; promoting field internships for students; and maintaining contact with the Missouri Department of Conservation and natural resource-focused federal agencies.

Information Literacy Professor - College of the Ozarks is seeking an adjunct instructor in Information Literacy.  This position requires a master’s degree or higher in Library Science or a related field, or a minimum of five years of experience working in libraries (preferably an academic library AND a bachelor’s degree or higher in any academic discipline), or a bachelor’s degree or higher with state certification as a school librarian.

Applicants should be proficient in a variety of information literacy skills including the ability to locate, evaluate, and effectively use information.  Applicants must also be proficient in using a Windows computer operating system and productivity applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Teaching experience is desired.  Information Literacy is a 3-credit hour general education course.

Keeter Center Kitchen Supervisor - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is currently hiring for the position of Kitchen Supervisor. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high volume kitchen with a solid background of supervisory skills. Key skill requirements are to lead a staff of 15 students and teach basic food preparation techniques and kitchen sanitation. Preferred qualifications include good communication skills, a positive attitude, an eye for detail, and relate well with the Academic, Vocational, Christian, Cultural, and Patriotic mission of the College.Duties include, but are not limited to:

Keeter Center – Restaurant Supervisor  -  The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is currently hiring for the position of Restaurant Supervisor.  A successful candidate for this position demonstrates thorough knowledge of Restaurant management practices and a strong desire to help develop a very fast-paced and detail-oriented team.  Previous restaurant management experience of two years required.  We are seeking candidates that are capable of hands-on-management and overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, bakery, creamery and room service. Industrial Engineering - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in industrial engineering and related topics.  In support of our young and growing multidisciplinary engineering program, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses across the range of industrial engineering topics, as well as support work in related areas such as manufacturing and systems engineering and assist with teaching core engineering topics.  Additional duties include advising students, supporting senior design projects, working on projects with regional industry, and participating in student design competitions.

The preferred start date is negotiable.

The position requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in industrial engineering or a related field, and a self-motivated, versatile individual with strong classroom teaching skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with other faculty members.  Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. and have a P.E. license with industry experience.  Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
