Front of House Supervisor Supervisor - College of the Ozarks is looking for an experienced Front of the House Supervisor at the College’s Pearl Rogers Dining Hall.  Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a high volume restaurant/cafeteria with a solid background of supervisory skills. Key skill requirements are to lead and train 140 student workers, enforce policies, have a basic understanding of cooking food and how to safely handle and serve food, and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests. Preferred qualifications include good communication skills, ability to use a computer and software, ability to do the job without supervision, a positive attitude, an eye for detail and relate well with the Academic, Vocational, Christian, Cultural, and Patriotic mission points of the College. Physical Science Professor - College of the Ozarks invites applications for a part time teaching position in physical science, to possibly include one or more of the following sub-disciplines: astronomy, geology, or physics.  The position requires a master’s degree or higher in some form of physical science, with teaching experience preferred.

The following was posted on April 10, 2019:

Agricultural and Biological Engineering - College of the Ozarks invites applicants for a full-time faculty position in agricultural and biological engineering starting in August 2019.  In support of our young and growing multidisciplinary engineering program, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses across the range of agricultural and biological engineering topics and assist with teaching core engineering topics as well as other topics according to interests and expertise such as civil and manufacturing engineering.  Additional duties include advising students, supporting senior design projects, working on projects with regional industry, and participating in student design competitions.

The preferred start date is no later than August 1, 2019.

The position requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in agricultural or biological engineering or a related field, and a self-motivated, versatile individual with strong classroom teaching skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with other faculty members.  Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D., a P.E. license, and have industry experience in the fields of agricultural, biological, or related areas.  Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Keeter Center – Guest Services Supervisor - The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks is a hotel, restaurant and conference center that has an excellent opportunity for a Hospitality professional. The ideal candidate for this position is one who can lead with a passion for excellent service and staff development. The successful candidate will also provide strategic leadership expertise that ensures the effective and efficient operations of the business while improving on the current model, and in doing so, helps the operation thrive in the Work Education program at the college. The right person will have a thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of hotel-resort operations. The Guest Services Supervisor will be responsible for the front desk, reservations, guest services, housekeeping, gift shop, inspections and scheduling. The successful candidate must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission and five-fold vision and also demonstrate a commitment to service. Other important qualities necessary for this position include strong organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate effectively across the spectrum of current communication media.
