SUBJECT: COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS HOSTS CHRISTIAN AUTHOR MATTHEW TURNER

By: Cherah Higgins

Christian author Matthew Turner will speak at College of the Ozarks on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., in the Jones Auditorium. Turner is currently the author of ten books including, Churched: One Kids Journey toward God despite a Holy Mess, and The Christian Culture Survival Guide.

In his program entitled “Storyteller with Hope,” he will attempt to remove the fear from Christianity and replace it with hope by emphasizing a genuine and personal relationship with God.

Matthew Turner, an evangelical writer from Virginia, began writing as a means of exploring the vast doctrines of Christianity. Turner has developed a unique tongue-in-cheek style of writing for which he is well-known. His writing is meant to display faith in its simplest form.

He is the former editor of CCM, Contemporary Christian Music Magazine, as well as a past contributor to crosswalk.com.

This convocation is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Campus Ministries Office at 417-690- 3446.
