ROTC Program

U.S. Army ROTC Scholarships

Two-year and three-year ROTC Scholarships are awarded each year to full-time college students on a best-qualified basis; students need not be enrolled in Military Science classes to compete. These scholarships provide full tuition, pay lab fees, educational fees and book costs, plus a stipend for 10 months of each scholarship funded school year. Students who receive an Army ROTC Scholarship are not eligible for entry into the Simultaneous Membership Program but do incur a military service obligation upon graduation. Students can also apply for the Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarship which assures Reserve Component (part-time) service upon commissioning.

Companies value professional leadership experience, and the Army is a great place to obtain that experience. After completing our officer-training program and graduating, you will immediately have the opportunity to manage, lead, and mentor professional Soldiers. This is by far one of the most rewarding, exciting, and challenging occupations available. The significant responsibilities of Army officership come with substantial rewards. In addition to a very nice salary, the Army provides health, medical, and dental care for you, and support for your family.

Of course, there is a commitment after college, but the benefits last a lifetime. Employers will seek your professionalism and leadership experience, your community will honor your service, and the people you manage during your civilian career will respect you for your Army service and for your highly polished leadership skills. If you are ready to lead, serve your country, earn respectable compensation, and have more fun than you ever imagined possible in your career, contact Major James Schreffler or Colonel Gary Herchenroeder at (417)690-2294.
